The United Hungarian Israelite Congregation (EMIH) is building a new nursery school in Debrecen – the organization told MTI.

According to the announcement, EMIH Budapest Faith Community has started the implementation of the project entitled “Development of Kindergarten Education in Debrecen” within the framework of the call “Development of Kindergarten Education”.

In the project implemented as part of the Széchenyi Terv Plusz program, the goal is to create a nursery school with two group rooms with a non-refundable European Union grant of HUF 350 million, they wrote.

They stated that the goal of the development is to contribute to the realization of the principle of equal access and to improve women’s equal employment opportunities by creating 28 nursery places.

By installing the building engineering system that ensures energy-efficient operation, a building using modern solutions is created, which contributes to achieving the environmental protection objectives related to the green transition with low energy consumption and thus low environmental load, they wrote.

The nursery, which will be established in the central part of Debrecen, in an easily accessible location, will be completed by the fall of 2024, the announcement states.
