At the inaugural meeting, the present Hungarian and foreign members of the 57-member board received their credentials and introduced themselves, said György Kossa, chairman of the board of trustees, after the meeting held behind closed doors.

He added that the TTTT, consisting of internationally recognized domestic and foreign researchers and scientists, will support the work of the board of trustees with its expert opinion in the future, contribute to increasing the university’s scientific and training performance and expand its international relations.

György Kossa said that after the model change comes to a cultural change, the education market has opened up, and it is very important that those who study at the University of Debrecen receive competitive knowledge that is most valuable in the labor market.

The chairman of the board of trustees expressed his conviction that the work of the international advisory board also contributes to the University of Debrecen becoming the best university in Central and Eastern Europe in the future.

The members of the TTTT include a Nobel Prize-winning scientist, several former and current members of the Nobel Prize Committee, and numerous domestic and foreign authorities in their field of science, he said.
