The director of the Medical Center of Debrecen initiates the foundation of an international rank: European Capital of Health. The initiative would be similar to that of the European Capital of Culture.
According to the director of the Center, György Paragh, the rank would be given annually to a city, which makes the most effective prevention of diseases, propagates healthy lifestyle and the consumption of healthy food and pays attention to the environment too.
