The third iteration of the ever-popular event of te Debrecen Zoo, Chirpy Family Day aims to raise public awareness of birds and their conservation by providing a perfect introduction to the world of both local and exotic avifauna.
Come visit the zoo this Sunday, January 26, for a rich array of interesting activities fit for all generations. Meet Chili, the playful blue-and-yellow macaw in the Palm House and make your very own bird cakes in the Gibbon House. Bird of the Year, the long-eared owl will also make an appearance, and so will several individuals rescued and rehabilitated by the Hortobágy Bird Hospital Foundation. Prepared by bird conservation organizations, various bird-themed games and contests will also help you expand your knowledge on our feathered friends and conservation efforts by the Hortobágy National Park.
All activities will be free of charge for visitors with a Zoo Pass.
