The construction began on 7 June. The new bike path is being built along Böszörményi Street, on the section between Vezér Street and Füredi Street.
The new, 2-kilometer asphalt trail facilitating bicycle traffic costs 120 million forints which is provided by the EU. Three indoor bike storages will also be built along the route. The new bike trail will be a part of the national bike trail system so the speed limit on it will be 20 km/h. Two layers of asphalt and one 20-centimeter thick frost layer will constitute the road.
The construction began on 7 June, and it involves little traffic limitation. The building works along the protected alley will be done with special attention. The deadline of the completion of the construction is 31 October, 2012. After the new path is opened, those who live in the garden suburbs will be able to get to the city center by bike more easily, through a charming zone, lined by trees.
