The Debrecen Water Polo Sport Association (DVSE) starts the next season with a new club management that intends to construct a water polo base in Debrecen.
“András Jávor, Deputy Rector at the University of Debrecen is going to take over the club presidency at DVSC, so symbolizing the excellent cooperation of the club and the university developed in the field of training juniors.” – Sándor Zubora outgoing president declared at a press conference on Thursday. Besides talking about the fine work done by the university and the sport association together, András Jávor highlighted that the leading personality of the team, the Olympic champion Tamás Varga is a student of the University of Debrecen majoring in sports management. Head Coach András Gyöngyösi added that children have to be lured to the swimming pool at an early age, therefore Tamás Varga and himself had already visited the primary schools in Debrecen and they are planning to continue this programme.
