Last February, a consignment of fake perfume having a value of 850 million HUF was seized by the customs officers at Püspökladány. 53 thousand bottles of fake perfume were hidden in the load area of the truck.
Last year, the customs office eliminated a Hungarian-Ukrainian crime organization of cigarette smugglers, too. The eleven criminals caused the government damages of 400 million HUF.
The customs officers of the region seized 267 thousand cartons of cigarettes the value of which is more than 1.5 billion HUF. Next to cigarettes, fuel was another problem to deal with in our region.
