The Hungarian Catholic Bishops’ Conference announced the year of the family. They want to highlight the most important unit of society, the family.
The Bishops Conference has issued a circular on this occasion, that read on Sunday worship services
in every Catholic church.
On December 26, the year of family started. Nandor Bosak, bishop opened it at the Holy Family parish.
he added that there is currently a lack of openness to the grave-term marital community. The young people need to be strengthened in the sense of responsibility to the family and marriage. This year one of the
most important tasks to strenghten the family. The bishop of the Diocese of Debrecen-Nyiregyhaza said that they will raise awareness of the importance of family and values next year.
