Focus on the geothermal energy

On October 15 the University of Debrecen`s Faculty of Engineering organized an international conference addressed to the utilization of geothermal energy.

The conference presented the DE TÁMOP-4.2.2-08/1-2008-0017 no. "Geothermal systems in the sustainability of an integrated modeling" programme and the research results of the Innovative Research Team.
Prof. Gudni Johannesen, CEO of Energy Office of Iceland, Gudni Axelsson university professor of the University of Reykjavik and researcher of the Icelandic Isora company, the Timisoara "Politechnica" University, Prof. dr. Ioan David), Padua University, Prof. dr. Michele de Carli, West University of Timisoara, Prof. dr. Ciucanu Ionel, and Prof. dr. Peter and Alena Bujansky from the Technical University of Kosice and researchers at the University of Maribor also took part in the conference. Couple of them working in Debrecen Ikuta (Innovative Research Team) together with Hungarian researchers.
The team aims to extend research of geothermal energy sources and make them sustainable.

The project is funded by the EU, the European Social Fund and the European Regional Development Fund.
