The Phantom of the Opera was performed for the 700th times in the Budapest Madách Theatre yesterday.
The first performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical was in London’s West End in 1986. It won the 1986 Olivier Award and the 1988 Tony Award for Best Musical.
